Ford 1.0 EcoBoost

ATTENTION Ford 1.0 EcoBoost owners

If you own one of the ford ecoboost engined fiesta or focus from 2012 and Transit 2.0 eco blue, your timing belt (wet belt) may be due.

Ford state the change interval is 10 years or 120 thousand miles, this is often not carried out due to the cost in labour and we are now seeing failures way earlier than this, even 2017 vehicles.

One of the main issues is that because the timing belt (Wet Belt) is submersed and runs in the engine oil we are seeing the belt de laminate and debris from this blocks the oil pick up pipe to the oil pump which feeds the engine internal components with lubricant to stop wear which leads to oil pressure related issues and potential engine damage.

We have all the ford specialist tools and know how to carry this timing belt change out. Our technicians here at Corbridge Road Garage have great knowledge of this engine and its issues. We fully understand this engine and when changing the wet belt we use all genuine parts to correct workshop instructions including oil sump removal to clean old belt debris out so you the customer can be confident the risk of any or further damage to the engine has been greatly reduced.
